About
In my thesis the study employs a controlled male Wistar rat model to assess the systemic effects of chronic REM sleep restriction. Glycine supplementation was evaluated as a metabolic modulator during sustained sleep disruption. Animals were maintained under standardized environmental conditions and assigned to experimental and control groups. Cognitive performance was assessed using the Novel Object Recognition task, alongside biochemical measurements of metabolic homeostasis. The design enables integrated analysis of metabolic and neurocognitive outcomes.
